White Earthenware Olla – 18 cm

Handcrafted from unglazed white earthenware, this olla is made from a naturally porous clay that allows water to move gently and steadily through its walls. Once buried in the soil, with only its neck visible, it becomes a quiet presence—releasing moisture slowly and directly into the root zone, exactly where your plants need it most.

Measuring approximately 18 cm in height and 10 cm in width, it holds around 900 ml of water. This is enough to support a medium-sized plant for several days up to a week, depending on climate, soil type, and the season. By preventing surface evaporation and runoff, this traditional irrigation method can reduce water use by 50–70%, while encouraging deeper root growth and stronger, more resilient plants.

At its top sits a removable stylised bird, a simple sculptural form that lifts away easily for refilling. The stopper keeps the olla sealed between waterings, helping prevent debris from entering, reducing evaporation, and limiting mosquito access so the water remains clean and effective.

Designed for vegetable beds, flower borders, or generous planters, the olla settles naturally into the landscape. Buried so that only its neck and bird remain visible, it becomes a subtle sculptural marker—turning everyday watering into something slower, quieter, and more intentional.

Practical, durable, and quietly elegant, it invites a more mindful relationship with water—and with the living garden it supports.
